Allied Cathodic was acquired in September 2007 and has been in operation since 2000. Located in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Allied provides cathodic services to the oil and gas industry in south eastern Saskatchewan and south western Manitoba. The majority of oil wells and steel flow lines in the area have cathodic protection systems in place to protect them from the harmful effects of soil side corrosion. Allied Cathodic has 100 customers providing cathodic protection to over 9,000 wells, gathering systems and processing facilities.
Bassi Construction Ltd was acquired in late 2016. Bassi is a 50-year-old multi-discipline commercial and industrial renovation/tenant refit, and construction company. They have over 120 employees and are headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario. Bassi operates in five primary divisions: commercial tenant fit-ups and restoration, specialty, concrete remediation, fire and flood reclamation and project management. Bassi continues its legacy of being a trusted, reliable partner to many local, regional and national property owners and managers as it continues to expand its service offering and geographic footprint.
Cedar Infrastructure was acquired by Mosaic in May of 2017. Cedar is a distributor of municipal iron castings, concrete pipe, pre-cast products and related specialty items to service the road, water and sewer infrastructure and residential construction industries. Established in 2000 and with headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario, Cedar serves a broad group of contractors and municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area and southwestern Ontario regions.
Circle 5 Tool & Mold is a world-class supplier of molding solutions to Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturers. The company offers custom, high-precision molds and tools for plastic injection production of highly-visible interior automotive components.
First West Properties Ltd. merged with Mosaic Diversified Income Fund under the Mosaic Capital Corporation umbrella in May 2011. First West Properties is an Alberta-based real estate investment company with a portfolio of real estate assets in secondary markets in Western Canada. The company’s portfolio consists primarily of income-producing properties and other real estate in which management can provide added value.
Acquired in August of 2012, Kendall’s Supply Ltd. is a leading parts and supplies provider based in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Kendall’s has serviced southern Saskatchewan since 1944 and is a leading supplier to companies in the automotive, oil and gas, mining, power generation, construction and agriculture industries. With 68 years in business and over 1,000 customers, Kendall’s name has grown to be synonymous with great service and support. As the number of industries in southern Saskatchewan has grown, Kendall’s has grown with them, building excellent client relationships and understanding the need to deliver outstanding service and support.
Acquired in September 2013, Industrial Scaffold Services is a leading provider of worksite surface and access scaffolding solutions to industrial and commercial customers in the energy and utilities, pulp and paper, mining and marine sectors in western Canada. Industrial Scaffold Services is based in Crofton, B.C. and has offices in Fort St. John, Kitimat and Victoria.
Established in 2002, Industrial Scaffold is a preferred worksite surface and access scaffold provider for numerous industrial projects within western Canada, providing both scaffolding services and environmental containment services (which is the wrapping of structures such as buildings, industrial infrastructure, ships, and submarines). Industrial Scaffold’s commitment to safety, excellent customer service and the provision of highly qualified field supervisory personnel are key elements which keep it at the forefront of its industry.
Mackow Industries, acquired in August of 2016, is a full service specialty metal fabrication company. Founded in 1985, Mackow is one of the largest and most modern metal fabrication and machine shops in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mackow currently manufactures and sells a steady flow of production fabricated parts for selected customers, including weldments, large scale fabrications, and quality computer numerically controlled (CNC) machined parts. An ISO 9001 certified company with tremendous focus on quality assurance and control, Mackow continually exceeds customers’ expectations and specifications.
Acquired in September of 2014, Place-Crete Systems Inc. is based in St. Albert, Alberta with additional offices in Calgary, Alberta and Abbotsford, British Columbia. Place-Crete supplies, applies and finishes a variety of cement-based toppings in the residential and commercial construction markets and provides waterproofing solutions to the civil infrastructure market. Products include gypsum floor underlayments used mainly in residential and commercial construction and waterproofing membranes that are applied to bridges, bridge approaches, plaza decks and parkades in both new and restoration construction.
Printing Unlimited was acquired in late 2006 and has been in operation since 1984. They have three departments: printing, reproduction, and signs. The company produces everything from marketing and promotional material to annual reports and signs. Located in the heart of the Alberta oil sands, Printing Unlimited counts most of the largest oil sands production and development companies as its clients.
Remote Waste is located in Sexsmith, Alberta and was acquired in 2008. They are engaged in the manufacturing and leasing of remote biological waste treatment systems. The company’s remote units are designed for the treatment of sewage in remote areas, and treats wastewater for locations housing 10 to 100 people. Remote Waste is strategically located to provide waste management services to oil and gas exploration camps in northern Alberta and British Columbia.
Acquired in November of 2014, South East Construction (SECON) is a multi-trade industrial and commercial construction company, primarily servicing the potash mining and milling industry in all phases of underground and surface construction and maintenance. SECON has also worked on construction and infrastructure projects related to power generation, coal mining and crushing, fertilizer production and oilseed crushing. SECON services both mine owners directly, such as The Mosaic Company, the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. and BHP Billiton Canada Inc., as well as engineering procurement and construction management firms such as Hatch Ltd., AMEC PLC and SNC-Lavalin Inc.
